Management


John Thacher, Esq.
Managing Director

Prior to joining Peak Discovery, John was Director of Project Management at DeNovo Legal. Other roles include an Assistant Professorship of Management at Eastern Connecticut State University, and a practicing attorney. John’s specialty is developing systems for the document review and project management process. He has managed reviews for many of the biggest mergers, patent litigations, bankruptcies and pharmaceutical cases in the United States. From initial document collection, to first review and quality control, to deposition prep and the finishing touches on a privilege log, he has managed every aspect of the document review process. John graduated from Albany Law School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a joint JD/MBA.



Andrea Weinberg
Director of Business Development

Before joining Peak, Andrea worked as a Project Manager and then in a Business Development role with The Tusker Group. In her previous roles, she worked closely with an off-shore coding team as well as remote document review teams, often customizing projects to meet clients’ needs in the most cost-effective and time sensitive manner. She received her undergraduate degree from Tulane University on New Orleans and is currently working towards her MBA at Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business. Andrea is an active member of Women in eDiscovery (NY Chapter) and volunteers with Junior Achievement of New York and A More Perfect Union



Christina Cotter, Esq.
Director of Business Development

Christina’s professional background includes business development, recruiting and document review management. Before joining Peak she worked for Robert Half where she launched and managed large document review projects for some of New York’s most prestigious litigation law firms. Prior to that, Christina was an associate with the Phillips Lytle LLP in Buffalo, New York. While practicing at Phillips Lytle, Christina was a member of the litigation group where she had the opportunity to work on complex legal matters, including class actions; commercial matters; and various constitutional challenges to state statutes and municipal ordinances. Christina is a licensed attorney and is admitted to practice law in the state of New York and the United States District Court (WDNY). Christina is a member of the American Bar Association and New York State Bar Association. She earned her BA from the University of Connecticut and her JD from the University at Buffalo Law School.


Project Management Team

 
Erik Gibson
Director of Business Development

Erik is responsible for managing the overall review and all attorneys to ensure an accurate and efficient project. Mr. Gibson has three years of experience working and managing in the E-discovery field. He received his JD from Seton Hall School of Law, where he was a Chancellor’s Scholar. He received his BA from Indiana University in multiple areas of study. At IU, he served on the 2001 Indiana Memorial Union Board of Directors, held numerous campus leadership roles and received several awards for academics and service.


 
Steve Wang
Director of Business Development

Steve is responsible for overseeing the review team and coordinating the workflow. He works closely with the review team, hosting professionals and law firm attorneys to develop the document review protocol, the QC protocol, and the privilege review and logging protocol in order to fully meet the needs of the client. He specializes in coding efficiency and privilege review and logging. He received his JD from Albany Law School and his BS in Mechanical Engineering


 
Jeff Gutman
Director of Business Development

Jeff is responsible for directly managing review teams to ensure an efficient and quality document review. He shapes review protocols, ensure review team subject matter and protocol knowledge, and deliver an efficient document production. Jeff has helped manage one of the largest pharmaceutical document reviews in United States history, and has managed a variety of document reviews including general business, DOJ Second Request, patent infringement, product liability, and government investigations. He received his JD from the Rutgers School of Law and his BA in Political Science from Davidson College.


 
Hailey Choi
Director of Business Development

Hailey is responsible for managing projects to ensure quality and efficiency. This includes coordinating the day-to-day workflow, communicating with law firms or hosting partners, providing training and managing the overall document review process. Prior to Peak, Hailey was an Associate at Pitchford Semerdjian LLP and Budd Larner PC practicing complex commercial litigation with a focus on reinsurance litigation and arbitration. She received her JD from Albany Law School and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor degree in Philosophy from the University of Michigan.
